Vietnamese Assembly Delegation Concludes Visit to Cambodia

Phnom Penh, April 6, 2011 AKP –
A delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly Office led by its chairman Mr. Tran Dinh Dan concluded its four-day visit to Cambodia on Tuesday.
On Apr. 4, the Vietnamese delegation was received by Cambodian National Assembly President Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin.
On behalf of the National Assembly of Cambodia, Samdech Heng Samrin highly valued Mr. Tran Dinh Dan’s visit to Cambodia, through which he said the long-lasting relationship and solidarity between both countries’ Assemblies, governments and peoples will be further strengthened.
The National Assembly of Cambodia is delighted to see the development in the economic and trade exchanges between the two neighboring countries, said Samdech Heng Samrin, calling on both sides to continue to expand their cooperation in tourism, economic and investment for the interests of both governments and peoples.
For his part, Mr. Tran Dinh Dan told the Cambodian national assembly president that his visit to Cambodia focused particularly on a Vietnamese Assembly’s assistance project to help build information technology infrastructure for Cambodian National Assembly approved by both sides in 2010.
He further wished that Cambodia will successfully host the 32nd ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA 32) in September.
On the same day, the Vietnamese delegation was also received by Senate Second Vice-President Tep Ngorn, and held a talk with Oum Sarith, Senate Secretary General. –AKP
